The Gearhart Agency was established in Calliope, now Hawarden, Iowa, in 1881 by T.S. Gearhart. The business was passed to his son, John Gearhart and then on to the third generation, David S. Gearhart. In 1978, the agency was passed to the present owner, Gary Wilkison. The Agency's philosophy and focus in Real Estate and Insurance has remained the same for the past 120 years. Many of our clients are second and third generation with our agency. We strive to serve our clients with their interests foremost at all times.
